Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek), Nadiem Anwar Makarim, officially swore in Prof. Ojat Darojat, M.Bus., Ph.D. as the Rector of Universitas Terbuka (UT) for 2021-2025 on Tuesday, 24 August 2021. Prof. Ojat attended his inauguration online via Zoom Meeting and the event was witnessed by the family and high-rank officials of UT.

As one from of the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar - Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program or Freedom to Study – Independent Campus, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Terbuka (FST UT) signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (FAPERTA UNTIRTA).
