Strengthening Research Collaboration: UT and UMS Joining Hands

Universitas Terbuka (UT) once again solidified its commitment in the field of education through an increasingly close partnership. On August 18, 2023, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at UT and the Faculty of Psychology and Education (FPP) at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) officially signed a binding Research Agreement at the Harris Vertu Harmoni Hotel in Jakarta.

The signing of this Research Agreement was conducted by YBhg. Professor Datuk Dr. Kasim Hj Mansor, Vice Chancellor of UMS, and Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Datuk Seri Panglima (Dr) Haji Juhar Bin Haji Mahiruddin, who also serves as the Honorable Governor of Sabah, concurrently holding the position of Chancellor of UMS. On behalf of Universitas Terbuka, Mr. Rahmat Budiman, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Business Affairs at UT, solemnly pronounced their commitment. The event was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Ucu Rahayu, M.Sc., Dean of FKIP UT, emphasizing the importance of this collaboration for the scientific and educational development of both nations.

The execution of the signing of this research agreement proceeded smoothly, showcasing the spirit and determination to collectively promote advancements in various aspects of education and research. Both parties expressed great hope that this collaboration will yield valuable breakthroughs in the form of research and scholarly publications.
