Supporting MBKM Program, UT Signed Cooperation Agreement with UNTIRTA

As one from of the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar - Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program or Freedom to Study – Independent Campus, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Terbuka (FST UT) signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (FAPERTA UNTIRTA). The Covid-19 pandemic does not lessen the vigor to collaborate of both universities. The activity was held virtually through Zoom application on Friday (06/08/2021).

UT’s Vice Rector for Institutional Development and Partnership, Rahmat Budiman, M.Hum, Ph.D., in his address, stated that MBKM program, launched by Ministry of Education Culture Research and Technology, encourages all universities and colleges to work together in preparing smart and best-quality Indonesian people. In this opportunity, the partnership is focused more on student exchange, and in the future, it is expected that there would be some cooperation in other fields.

The program continued with the remarks by the Dean of FAPERTA UNTIRTA, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nurmayulis, MP. He stated that the partnership between UNTIRTA and UT this time is one form of implementation of MBKM programs. It is expected that the program would be able to provide the benefits for both the students and the teaching faculty members. In agreement with the UT’s Vice Rector for Institutional Development and Partnership, in days to come, there will some other areas where UNTIRTA and UT can work together.

The program reached its peak with the signing of the cooperation agreement of PKS by the Dean of FST UT, Dr. Agus Santoso, M.Si. and the Dean of FAPERTA UNTIRTA, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nurmayulis, MP., which was executed virtually. The signing was witnesses by the high-rank officials and staff members of both parties. Prior to the closing of the event, the parties, who are present in the program, took photo together.
