University College of Social and Management Science STIAMI and Indonesia Open University signed MoU

As the implementation of the Three Principles of Higher Education Institutions or Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, University College of Social and Management Science or Institut Ilmu Sosial and Manajemen STIAMI and Indonesia Open University or Universitas Terbuka (UT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing of the MoU was done by the Rector of University College of Social and Management Science or Institut Ilmu Sosial and Manajemen STIAMI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Wahyuddin Latunreng, M.M. and the Rector of Indonesia Open University Prof. Drs. Ojat Darojat M.Bus, Ph.D. The occasion was also attended by a number of high-rank officials from both parties, and the event was held in Wisma 2 Building, Indonesia Open University, Pondok Cabe (21/04/2021).

UT’s Rector remarks were presented by Rahmat Budiman, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D., UT’s Vice Rector for Institutional Development and Partnership Affairs or Pengembangan Institusi and Kerja Sama. He hopes that the signing of this MoU would continue with the execution of various cooperation agreements in special fields, such as tourism programs, research and community services (LPPM) and many other fields of collaborations. The signing of MoU would expedite the realization of cooperations between Indonesia Open University and the University College of Social and Management Science or Institut Ilmu Sosial dan Manajemen STIAMI.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Ir. Wahyuddin Latunreng, M.M, said that UT is the state’s genuine breakthrough as it can outreach all its students throughout the country and there is no reason for the people not continuing their education to universities. Therefore, University College of Social and Management Science or Institut Ilmu Sosial dan Manajemen STIAMI elects to collaborate with UT by signing the MoU. In implementing the goals “Independent Campus – Freedom to Learn or Kampus Merdeka – Merdeka Belajar” there is no other choice than to work together with UT.

The event, which was done in strict compliance with the health protocols, continued with exchanging gifts and souvenirs by both parties and was concluded with taking photograph together.
