ASEAN Cyber University Project Visited UT

In order to improve e-learning capacity in higher education in ASEAN, Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) visited Indonesia Open University or Universitas Terbuka (UT) for a dialog with a number of officials in UT Head Office at Rectorate Building, Monday (2/12/2019). KERIS is a government organization under South Korea’s Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology which focuses on the development of government regulations, especially in education.

In his speech, Mister Sanghyun Jang, KERIS Director, said that KERIS is currently willing to work together in order to translate the content of the learning materials of UT’s Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) into English so that they can be accessed by international students. Sanghyun Jang also said that it will immediately expand this projects with UT since UT is the pioneer of open and distance higher education (PTJJ) provider in Indonesia.

UT’s rector, Prof Ojat Darojat., M.Bus., Ph.D., said that it is a great honor for UT that it is nominated in this project development. The collaboration which will be built would become one form of transformations of UT to be a
