In COPSI 1st, The Best Innovation Products in Public Sector Selected

In a series of activities at the International Seminar on Business, Economics, Social Science and Technology (ISBEST 2^nd) organized on 23-24 October 2019, the semifinal Competition of Public Sector Innovation (COPSI 1^st) 2019 was successfully held at Wisma 2, on Wednesday (23/10/2019). The best five participants were selected who would advance to the Grand Final COPSI 1^st where they would present their innovation products in public sector at Indonesia Open University Convention Center (UTCC), Thursday (24/10/2019).

The 1^st COPSI is an event that provides the opportunity to express appreciation for the activists and practitioners of public sector for their participation in the effort to make various innovations so that they give benefits for both the managerial system in public sector entities and the society. The public sector entities that can participate in the COPSI 1^st 2019 include Local and Regional Governments, Public Service Offices/Agencies and Local Public Service Offices/ Agencies (Badan Layanan Umum/Badan Layanan Umum Daerah or BLU/BLUD), State Owned Enterprise and Local Government Owned Enterprises (Badan Usaha Milik Negara/Badan Usaha Milik Daerah or BUMN/BUMD), public hospitals, universities and colleges, religious affairs offices or institutes, non-governmental organizations, and other public sector entities.

The judges of the COPSI 1^st 2019 consist of Prof. Zakiah Saleh of University of Malaya, and Rahmadi Murwanto, Ak., M.Acc., M.B.A., Ph.D as Director of State Finance Polytechnic, College of State Finance (PKN STAN) and Dr. Ali Muktiyanto, S.E., M.Si., as Dean of Faculty of Economics, Indonesia Open University with accompanying Prof. Indra Bastian, M.B.A., Ph.D. from University of Gadjah Mada and Moh. Mahsun, S.E., M.Sc., Ak., CA., CPA, Director of the Association of the Instructors for Public Sector Accounting or Asosiasi Pengajar Akuntansi Sektor Publik (APSAE). In his speech, Moh. Mahsun said that COPSI 1^st appreciates and would accompany public sector activists and practitioners in order to obtain patent rights, as well as to become the first members of the public sector innovation forum.

At the end of the second day of the convention of ISBEST 2^nd and COPSI 1^st 2019, Coaching Clinic was held in order to improve the quality of incoming working papers that have been presented on the first day by Prof. Zakiah Saleh of University of Malaya and in addition, Dr. Isma Widiaty as well as Cep Ubad Abdullah, M.Pd., from Indonesian Publication House or Rumah Publikasi Indonesia. The Chairman of the Executive Committee of ISBEST 2^nd and COPSI 1^st 2019 is Dr. Joko Rizkie Widokarti, S.E., M.M. and as the Advisor, Prof. Ginta Ginting, M.B.A.
