KSF, Knowledge Sharing Forum, UT, #32 - ChatGPT: Blessing or Challenge?

In its commitment to providing access to education for everyone, Universitas Terbuka (UT) has taken a step further by organizing the Knowledge Sharing Forum (KSF) UT in 2023. The event, held virtually on Thursday, August 10th, 2023, via Zoom and YouTube platforms, has a noble mission to enhance understanding and knowledge about Systems, Technology, and Management of Distance Education Programs.

The theme of this KSF is "The Utilization of ChatGPT and Its Implications for Education", – a topic increasingly relevant in the digital education era. ChatGPT, as a representation of the latest in artificial intelligence, opens up new possibilities in personalized learning and improved collaborative experiences. This forum serves as a space for practitioners, educators, students, and the public to explore the potential of this technology in the realm of education.

Muhammad Ghifary from GovTech Edu, Jack Brazel, the Area Director of South East Asia at Turnitin, and Prof. Dr. Eng. Wisnu Jatmiko, S.T., M.Kom from the University of Indonesia, are present to discuss various perspectives on the use of ChatGPT and its impact on education.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Rahmat Budiman, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D., the Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, Partnership, and Business, highlighted the significant implications of ChatGPT in education. This technology opens up new opportunities for personalized and collaborative learning, creating a better learning experience. The webinar is expected to serve as a productive platform for knowledge exchange among all participants.
